In-Home Education
As a “choice state,” Utah has a variety of options when it comes to education, but still so many parents feel dissatisfied with the options provided. With Sacred Stages, parents have a unique opportunity to provide quality education to their children in their own home, have full control over what curriculum is used for their child’s learning, and have the freedom to work, relax, run errands, and more with a private educator to do all the work of teaching! Here’s how it works:
Enrolling Your Student(s)
Sacred Stages provides education for groups of up to 8 children at a time. Parents can request individual family lessons, or enroll in a group session to be held in your own home with an organized homeschool group. Homeschool groups work best with students that generally fall within the same age range, or have multiple children in the same age group (i.e. two children in Grade 2, three children in Grade 4, and three children in Grade 6).Grades/Ages:
Starting at Grade 2 (age 7) through Grade 8 (age 14). For specific requests outside of these ages, please contact us.Weekly Schedule:
With Sacred Stages, we don’t have a fixed “one size fits all” schedule for your child’s learning needs. We can enroll your student for learning to take place Monday through Friday, or we can do visits 2-3 days per week, depending on your family’s needs and schedule. See package options below, or contact us to create a tailored program for your child.Daily Schedule:
We know how important consistency is to children, especially when they are learning in a home setting. At Sacred Stages, we believe that consistency paired with flexibility is key to providing your child with the best education possible. We also believe that children should not have to sit at a desk for 7 hours a day in order to learn. Children thrive and learn best when they have opportunities for hands-on learning, outdoor experiences, and one-on-one assistance. Bearing that in mind, we have a daily schedule that provides 4 hours of total learning time, with instruction in each subject lasting about 30 minutes each day. You can anticipate instruction to be provided in a variety of settings, including the floor, a table, or outdoors. Below you can find a general daily schedule that you can anticipate for your child’s daily learning:8:15-8:30 - Arrival; Silent Reading
8:30-8:45 - Morning Meditation, Prayer (optional), Daily Grammar Practice
8:45-9:15 - Language Arts
9:20-9:55 - Math
10:00-10:30 - Outside Playtime
10:35-11:05 - Science
11:10 -11:40 - History
11:45-12:15 - Lunch
12:15-12:30 - Outside Play
12:35-1:00 - Daily Goals Review and PickupNote: This is an example of a daily schedule, but we can tailor each day to fit you and your child’s needs. Contact us to see if we are a good fit for you and your child.
At Sacred Stages, we recognize the value not only in the methods of teaching, but also of the content being taught to your child. Our curriculum teaches content without the politics that so many teachers and schools have begun integrating into our children’s lessons. Additionally, we provide optional faith-centered learning, by integrating core subjects with lessons about God. When you enroll with us, you and/or your homeschool group can use our curated curriculum, selected by the educator, or opt for your own personal curriculum. While we feel that our curriculum can provide outstanding learning opportunities to your child, we value the parent’s preferences in the education setting. Explore our curriculum below to learn more.
